Product Shield: Brand Tax Detector Chrome extension security report

Product Shield: Stop Paying the "Brand Tax" Save 50% or more on Amazon by finding high-quality generic equivalents in real-time. Product Shield is a smart shopping assistant that lives on Amazon. It automatically detects when you’re looking at a brand-name product—like a $150 hair dryer or a $200 rug—and finds the identical "generic" or "brand-equivalent" version available at retailers like Walmart for a fraction of the price. Why use Product Shield? Automatic Detection: No searching required. If a better deal exists for a generic equivalent, a small, non-intrusive "Shield" appears on your screen. Real-Time Math: Our algorithm factors in shipping costs and price gaps to ensure the savings are actually worth the switch. Privacy First: We don’t track your personal data. We only look at the product you're viewing to find you a better price. Clean & Lightweight: No bloat, no ads, and no slowing down your browser. How it works: Install Product Shield. Shop on Amazon as you normally would. When Product Shield finds a generic equivalent that meets our "High Savings" criteria, you'll see a notification with the potential savings. Click "View Deal" to see the equivalent item and keep your hard-earned money. Transparency & Disclosures Product Shield is a community-supported tool. When you click on links provided by the extension, we may earn an affiliate commission at no extra cost to you. This helps us keep the servers running and the price-matching algorithms updated. Product Shield is not affiliated with Amazon.com or Walmart.com.
