Popcornado Chrome extension security report

Watch Netflix with friends or family, no matter where they are. Everyone stays perfectly in sync — play, pause, and seek together — while you talk, chat, and react in real time. No account. No signup. No servers in the middle. WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT Most watch party extensions stop at a text chat sidebar. Popcornado includes full voice and video calls built in, so you don't need to juggle a Discord call on the side. When someone starts talking, Netflix automatically lowers its volume so you can hear them — then smoothly fades back up when they stop. It's a small thing that makes a big difference over a two-hour movie. FEATURES - Synchronized playback — play, pause, and seek stay locked across everyone in the party - Voice and video calls — peer-to-peer, directly between participants - Auto-ducking — Netflix volume drops when someone speaks, rises when they stop - Live chat with emoji, @mentions, and typing indicators - Scene reactions (Intense, Funny, Horror, Romance, Sad) that float over the video for everyone simultaneously - Quick polls — rate a scene, vote on what to watch next - Password-protected rooms for private parties - Invite links — share a URL that opens Netflix and joins the party automatically - Picture-in-Picture — pop the video call out to a small floating window - Party history restored after a page refresh (up to 4 hours) HOW IT WORKS Open any Netflix video, click the Popcornado icon, and start a party. Share the generated code or invite link with friends. They install the extension, enter the code, and they're in. The whole thing takes under 30 seconds. Supports up to 8 people per party. Currently works on Netflix — Disney+, Prime Video, and other platforms are in the works. PRIVACY Everything is peer-to-peer. Your video, audio, and chat go directly between participants — nothing passes through our servers, because we don't have any. No analytics, no tracking, no account required. The only thing stored locally is your display name and preferences.
