PitchKey Chrome extension security report

PitchKey is a real-time pitch shifter for YouTube. Move any video up or down by up to 12 semitones (one octave) without changing tempo, and adjust playback speed independently from 0.25x to 4x. Built for musicians, vocalists, and music students. WHO IT'S FOR • Singers transposing songs to a comfortable vocal range • Guitarists and pianists matching a key during practice • Music students working on ear training and key recognition • Producers reverse-engineering arrangements • Anyone who wants to slow a track down for close listening — without the chipmunk effect FEATURES • ±12 semitones (one full octave each direction) • Tempo-preserved pitch shifting (high-quality WSOLA algorithm) • Speed: 0.25x to 4x via native YouTube playback rate • Pitch stays accurate when you change speed • Logarithmic speed slider — 1x sits at center for fine control • Persistent settings remembered between sessions • One-click reset PRIVACY PitchKey is local-only. No analytics, no telemetry, no accounts, no network requests. Your settings are stored on your device and never transmitted. OPEN SOURCE PitchKey uses the open-source SoundTouchJS audio worklet (LGPL-2.1) for pitch shifting. Full license attribution is included in the extension package.
