Paywall & Ad Bloat Detector makes web browsing better by flagging which Google search results are unusable because of paywalls or excessive ads. Many websites today have too many ads or gate the content you are looking for behind paywalls. Paywall & Ad Bloat Detector add indicator icons to Google search results. Be able to detect whether the site has a paywall and what type of paywall (e.g. aggressive, metered, etc). This extension can also show an icon indicating whether the site has “ad bloat” including autoplaying video ads, pop ups, and excessive ads that make the site hard to use. To get more sites added, email [email protected] with the website that you would like to see supported. Please also email [email protected] for any feedback or improvements that you’d like to see. How to use it: 1. Install the chrome extension by clicking the “Add to Chrome” button at the top right of this page. 2. Search using google.com and you’ll see red icons next to websites which have paywalls or ad bloat issues. 3. If you find some websites that don’t work, you can email [email protected] with websites that you would like to see supported.
