Well, Overcast solves that completely. A small floating controller appears on every tab you visit. Play, pause, skip, seek, and adjust volume without ever leaving what you are doing. The moment you close the widget it gets out of your way entirely. WHAT IT DOES Overcast injects a lightweight floating widget into your browser. It reads live playback state directly from your YouTube or Spotify tab and mirrors the controls onto whatever page you are currently viewing. Every action you take in the widget is reflected instantly on your media tab in real time. It reads playback state locally within your browser and communicates only between your own tabs. No accounts, no sign-in, no analytics.
