Safeguard (SafeBrowse AI) keeps classrooms, families, and teams safer without routing browsing data through the cloud. The extension combines a packaged adult-domain blocklist with on-device heuristics that scan page titles, metadata, and copy in real time. With v0.3.0, you can now require a private PIN before anyone bypasses a block or edits the allowlist, giving administrators tighter control over policy exceptions. Highlights: Weighted heuristic scanning with adjustable sensitivity catches explicit content even when SafeSearch misses it. Optional Aggressive mode blurs or pauses risky images and videos right in the tab. Built-in allowlist and blocklist managers support quick edits, imports from CSV/JSON, and one-click exports. Declarative Net Request rules enforce SafeSearch on Google/Bing and block common ad/marketing trackers. PIN protection locks down “Continue anyway” overrides and all allowlist changes, stored locally with PBKDF2 hashing.
