NetSuite Scripts Manager - View Scripts & Workflows Instantly

NetSuite Scripts Manager gives NetSuite developers and administrators instant visibility into every script deployment and workflow attached to any record type - without digging through deployment lists or the workflow manager. Open any record, click the icon, and get a clean, organized breakdown of everything running on that page. Inspired by the original NetSuite Scripted Records by Marcel Pestana, NetSuite Scripts Manager is an independent, ground-up implementation using a completely different architecture (N/query + N/search APIs vs. page scraping), a card-based UI, and powerful features not found in the original. ✅ Key Features: 📊 Stack Order Sorting ¡ Default sort by actual execution order, scraped from NetSuite's Scripted Records page. See exactly which scripts fire first across server, client, and localized layers. Also sort A-Z or Z-A within groups. đŸˇī¸ Entry Point Tags ¡ Each card shows which entry points are defined (beforeLoad, afterSubmit, pageInit, fieldChanged, saveRecord, validateField) so you can see at a glance what each script does. ✅ Deployed-Only Filter ¡ Toggle to show only actively deployed scripts and released workflows. âš ī¸ Script Count Warnings ¡ Visual badges warn when a record type approaches or exceeds NetSuite's recommended script limits (10 Client Scripts per record, high User Event counts). Hover for details and documentation links. 🔒 Bundle Lock Indicator ¡ Scripts hidden in bundles are marked with a lock icon. Edit and source buttons are disabled for locked scripts so you know which ones you can't modify. 🔗 One-Click Access ¡ Open script records, edit them, view source files, or open workflow definitions directly from each card. â„šī¸ Info Tooltips ¡ Hover the info icon for API version, description, and script file name. 🔀 Drag-and-Drop Group Ordering ¡ Arrange script type groups (User Event, Client, Mass Update, Workflow Action, Custom GL Lines, Workflows) in your preferred display order. Your order is saved automatically. 🌙 Dark / Light Mode ¡ Full dark mode support with matching color palette. 📐 Compact Mode ¡ Condensed layout for denser card display. 🔲 Resizable Popup ¡ Drag the bottom-left corner to resize the popup window. Dimensions are saved automatically. ⚡ Dual API Support ¡ Uses SuiteScript 2.x (N/query, N/search, N/currentRecord) as the primary engine, with automatic SuiteScript 1.0 fallback for pages where 2.x modules aren't available. đŸŽ¯ On-Demand Execution ¡ Scripts only run when you click the extension icon, not on every page load. Zero impact on your daily NetSuite browsing and no wasted governance. 🕐 Scheduled Deployments Sync ¡ Collect all Scheduled and Map/Reduce deployments from production, then check and re-apply their statuses in sandbox or preview environments after a refresh. Includes per-item progress tracking, cross-environment ID resolution, and a detailed safety warning gate explaining why NetSuite resets deployment statuses. 🧠 How It Works: Step 1: Navigate to any record page in NetSuite. Step 2: Click the NetSuite Scripts Manager icon. Step 3: View grouped sections for Script Deployments and Workflows. Step 4: Click any script name to open its record. Use the edit icon for edit mode, or the code icon for the source file. Step 5: Hover the info icon for API version, description, and file name. Step 6: Use the Deployed pill to filter to active scripts only. Step 7: Sort by Stack Order (execution order), A-Z, or Z-A. Step 8: Drag and drop groups via the settings drawer to reorder script type sections. Step 9: Use the Scheduler panel to sync deployment statuses across environments. All data is retrieved live from the page context via NetSuite's native APIs. No external data collection, no login prompts, no storage of sensitive info. 👤 Who Is This For? đŸ› ī¸ SuiteScript Developers - See every script on a record at a glance, check execution order, jump to source files, identify entry points. âš™ī¸ NetSuite Administrators - Audit script deployments, spot script count warnings, verify what's running on each record type. 📝 Implementation Consultants - Explore unfamiliar records, understand which scripts fire and in what order, identify bundle-locked scripts. 🔄 DevOps / Release Managers - Sync scheduled deployment statuses from production to sandbox after refreshes without manually re-enabling each one. 🔒 Privacy & Security: This extension operates entirely within your browser. No data is transmitted externally. Only user display preferences, group ordering, resize dimensions, and scheduler sync data are stored locally via chrome.storage.local. No record data, credentials, or personal information is ever stored or shared. 🌐 Compatibility: Chrome, Edge, and Firefox (Manifest V3). 🔓 Open Source: This extension is fully open source. Browse the code, report issues, or contribute at: https://github.com/alien4u/ns-scripts-manager âš ī¸ Disclaimer & Acknowledgments: The idea of viewing script deployments from a browser extension was inspired by NetSuite Scripted Records (https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/netsuite-scripted-records/jbbdkpibfpmkdhekgblfdicjpbkjfpno) by Marcel Pestana (marcelpestana.com). NetSuite Scripts Manager is a completely independent, ground-up implementation using a different architecture (N/query + N/search APIs vs. page scraping), a different UI (card-based layout vs. tables), and additional features not found in the original, but the original idea of surfacing this information in an extension popup belongs to Marcel.
