Liminal: Contextual Guidance

Contextual guidance inside Power BI, SharePoint, and Microsoft Teams.

Liminal delivers contextual guidance directly inside Microsoft 365 web applications. When supported applications are detected, Liminal displays a small, non-intrusive prompt indicating that relevant help is available. Guides open in a new tab only when the user chooses to access them. Liminal helps reduce friction in complex tools by surfacing the right guidance at the right moment — without disrupting workflow. ⸻ Supported Applications • Power BI (app.powerbi.com) • SharePoint Online (*.sharepoint.com) • Microsoft Teams (teams.microsoft.com) ⸻ What Liminal Does • Detects supported Microsoft 365 web applications • Displays a subtle, dismissible “guide available” prompt • Opens trusted HTTPS guides only on explicit user action • Stores prompt dismissals locally in the browser Liminal does not scrape page content or analyse user data. It operates purely on deterministic URL matching. ⸻ Configuration Liminal uses a small, read-only configuration file hosted by JR Data Solutions to determine: • Which applications trigger guidance • Which guide links are shown The configuration contains matching rules and guide URLs only. Liminal does not download, inject, or execute remote code. ⸻ Privacy & Data Handling Liminal: • Does not collect personal data • Does not track browsing activity • Does not transmit application content, credentials, or tenant data • Stores only minimal local settings (dismissed prompts and cached configuration) All processing occurs locally within the browser extension.
