LeetCodeSync — Bidirectional LeetCode & GitHub Sync Automate your coding interview preparation and build a version-controlled portfolio. LeetCodeSync connects your LeetCode problem-solving workspace directly with your personal GitHub repository. Push problem descriptions and your solution code to GitHub with a single click, or pull your saved solutions back into the LeetCode web editor instantly using a keyboard shortcut. 💡 THE PROBLEM SOLVER'S ESSENTIAL TOOL Whether you want to keep a permanent backup of your work, write solutions in your local IDE, or access your files on multiple devices, LeetCodeSync makes it simple: 💾 Build a Permanent Portfolio: Turn your solved problems into a clean, well-structured GitHub repository. Formats problem descriptions as clean README.md files next to your code solutions—ideal for sharing with recruiters. 💻 Solve Locally, Test on LeetCode (For Free Users): Work offline or inside your preferred local editor (VS Code, IntelliJ, Neovim, etc.). Sync problem descriptions, pull the repository locally, resolve problems using your local debugger and extensions, push to GitHub, and use Alt + V to restore your solution in the browser for testing. 🔄 Sync Across Multiple Devices: Access your LeetCode solutions anywhere. Use your GitHub repository as a central backup hub. Pull your latest solutions on any computer in a single keystroke. ⚡ Smooth Bidirectional Workflows: Intercept problem metadata and solution runs in real-time. Use the Alt + V hotkey to fetch and paste saved code directly into the LeetCode code editor. ⚙️ INITIAL CONFIGURATION Generate a GitHub Access Token (PAT): Fine-grained Token (Recommended): Go to GitHub Settings $\rightarrow$ Developer Settings $\rightarrow$ Personal Access Tokens $\rightarrow$ Fine-grained tokens. Generate a token, select your repository (or all repositories), and under Repository Permissions, set Contents to Read and write. Classic Token: Go to Developer Settings $\rightarrow$ Personal Access Tokens $\rightarrow$ Tokens (classic). Select the repo checkbox. Configure the Extension: Click the LeetCodeSync icon in your Chrome toolbar. Click the gear icon (⚙️) to open settings. Paste your token and enter your repository in the format: owner/repository-name (e.g., octocat/my-leetcode-solutions). Save settings and exit. 🚀 HOW TO USE Forward Syncing (LeetCode $\rightarrow$ GitHub) Navigate to any LeetCode problem. The extension captures the description in the background. Solve the problem and click Run or Submit. Open the extension popup (both status indicators will be green) and click Sync to GitHub. Check your repository: a new folder problems/problem-slug/ is created with a README.md description and the solution file. Reverse Syncing (GitHub $\rightarrow$ LeetCode) Open the LeetCode problem. Click inside the code editor to focus your cursor. Press Alt + V on your keyboard. Your saved solution code is fetched from GitHub and automatically pasted into the editor. 🔒 PRIVACY & SECURITY FIRST LeetCodeSync values your privacy. Your Personal Access Token (PAT) is stored securely on your local device using Chrome's local storage API. It is never exposed, uploaded, or shared with third-party servers. All communications go directly between your browser and the official GitHub REST API.
