LeakSnitch is a Chrome extension that watches what you type into ChatGPT, Bard, Claude, and other AI tools — not because we're nosy, but because you're probably about to leak something sensitive. Your boss's AWS secret key? Your company’s internal staging URL? Maybe even your Aadhaar number? Yeah, we’ve seen it all. And no, your friendly neighborhood language model does not need access to your secrets. This extension acts as a lightweight Data Loss Prevention (DLP) layer between your keyboard and the infinite hunger of generative AI. It silently monitors what you're typing or pasting into AI input boxes and flags anything that looks like it should stay private. If you try to paste an API key, a password, a credit card number, a Slack token, or your uncle’s UPI ID — we’ll catch it. If you’re typing something that looks suspiciously like a PAN card or Aadhaar number, we’ll step in. And if you try to hand over your internal dashboard URL or some bank account info, you’ll get a polite slap on the wrist — digitally, of course. LeakSnitch doesn’t just block everything like a paranoid firewall. It’s smarter than that. It uses scoring and context. If something is definitely sensitive, it blocks it. If it’s probably sensitive, it warns you. If it’s just a test string or dummy value, it lets it go. Want more control? Turn on Redact Mode — we’ll just replace the risky parts with “[REDACTED]” and let the rest of your genius prompt flow free. Still worried about false positives? Don’t be. LeakSnitch ignores common test data, fake values, and nonsense strings like test123 or [email protected]. We don’t ruin your workflow — we save you from ruining your reputation.
