The extension does exactly what it claims: it injects a CSS stylesheet via a dynamically-created <style> element to replace the browser's default scrollbar appearance, reads a user preference () from localStorage via a background script relay, and writes that preference back from the options page. There is no network egress, no data collection, no eval, no remote code loading, and no DOM manipulation beyond appending a safe, hardcoded CSS string to the page head. The ML score of 0.28 is driven by `innerHTML` (used only to write a status string 'Options Saved.' in the options page and to build a purely local CSS string), `appendChild` (appending a <style> element), and small file counts — all consistent with a trivial cosmetic extension. Publisher's 53% malicious rate on other extensions raises concern but cannot be projected onto this code, which is fully readable and benign.
