Single purpose statement (Privacy tab) Alerts freelancers instantly when new Upwork job posts match their saved filters. Permission justifications (Privacy tab) • alarms: Runs the periodic 30-second job scan cycle in the background. • storage: Saves the user's filter settings, seen-job IDs and local match history on the device. • notifications: Shows a desktop alert when a new job matches the user's filters. • offscreen: Plays a short alert sound; MV3 service workers cannot play audio directly. • scripting: Re-injects the extension's own reader script into an already-open Upwork tab after an extension update, so scanning keeps working without a browser restart. • Host permission (https://www.upwork.com/*): Reads the user's own Upwork job search results page to detect newly posted jobs. The extension only reads what the user's session can already see and modifies nothing on Upwork. Data usage disclosures (Privacy tab) • Does NOT collect any user data.
