About this extension
Java OOP Virtual Laboratory - Write, compile and submit Java programs
Read the publisher’s full description
Java OOP Virtual Lab is a complete browser-based lab environment for Java Object-Oriented Programming coursework. Built for a university's Java lab classes, it lets students write, compile, and submit Java programs, while teachers manage class batches and grade submissions — all without installing any software locally. Getting Started Click the extension icon to open the side panel. If you already have an account, log in with your registered email and password. If you're a new student, register with your full name, email, roll number, and password, then enter the Class Invite Code given by your teacher to join your batch. Click Open Lab (students) or Open Teacher Dashboard (teachers) to launch the full workspace in a new tab. For Students View the list of experiments unlocked by your teacher for your batch. Write Java code directly in a built-in code editor with syntax highlighting and autocomplete. Click Run to compile and execute your code on a remote JDK 17 server — no local Java installation required. Compare your program's actual output with the expected output for each experiment. Submit your completed experiment for grading. Check back on the dashboard to see your grade and any feedback left by your teacher. For Teachers Create and manage class batches, each with its own unique invite code for students to join. Assign and unlock specific experiments for each batch. Review incoming student submissions, run and verify the code, assign grades, and leave written feedback. Track submission status (pending or graded) across all your batches from one dashboard. Key Features No setup — Java code compiles on a remote server, so students don't need a JDK installed Full-featured code editor (Monaco, the same engine used in VS Code) Organized batch/class management for teachers Integrated grading and feedback loop between students and teachers Works entirely within the browser side panel and a dedicated full-tab workspace Note: This extension requires a registered account with your university's Java Virtual Lab platform to sign in and access experiments. It is intended for use by students and teachers of the course it was built for.
