Monitors your UCP Horizon student portal for new announcements, materials, submissions, and grade updates.

UCP Horizon Notifier is a free Chrome extension built exclusively for students of the University of Central Punjab. Instead of clicking into each course one by one to check for updates, this extension collects everything automatically and shows it all in one clean panel — right inside your Horizon dashboard. ──────────────────────────────────────── WHAT IT TRACKS ──────────────────────────────────────── 📢 Announcements — Every notice posted by your lecturers, with full message text and attachments viewable without leaving the dashboard. 📁 Course Materials — Lecture slides, PDFs, and files uploaded by staff, with a direct Download button. 📝 Submissions — Newly opened assignments with start dates and due dates. 🎓 Grades — Assessment results and obtained marks as soon as they are posted. 🗂 Course Outlines — Weekly breakdown files available to download in one click. ──────────────────────────────────────── KEY FEATURES ──────────────────────────────────────── ONE-CLICK SCAN Click Scan All Courses on the dashboard and the extension checks all your enrolled courses at once. A live progress bar shows which course is being scanned. When done, the Updates panel opens automatically with everything new highlighted. AUTO SCAN ON LOGIN Enable Auto Scan on Login in Settings and your updates are ready the moment you open the portal — no clicking needed. The extension detects each new login and scans all courses automatically in the background. LIVE UNREAD BADGES Every course card on your dashboard shows a red badge with the exact number of unread updates. Badges update in real time as you read items — no page refresh needed. COLOUR-CODED UPDATES PANEL The slide-in panel groups all updates by course. Each course shows coloured badges — amber for Announcements, blue for Materials, green for Submissions, purple for Grades, teal for Outlines — so you can see at a glance what type of updates are waiting. READ AND UNREAD TRACKING Unread items show a red dot. Items are marked as read automatically when you open them, click View Details, or visit the corresponding course tab. You can also mark everything read in one click. COURSE TAB BADGES Inside each course page, small unread count badges appear on the tab navigation — Announcements, Materials, Submissions, Grades, Outline — so you always know what is new without opening the panel. EXTENSION POPUP Click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar for a quick summary of all unread items across every category, even without the Horizon portal open. DESKTOP NOTIFICATIONS Get a Chrome notification the moment a new announcement, material, submission, or grade is detected. Each notification fires only once per item — no duplicates. ──────────────────────────────────────── PRIVACY ──────────────────────────────────────── Your data never leaves your device. Everything is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage. The extension only reads course pages you are already logged into — it does not collect personal information, does not use analytics, and does not communicate with any external server. ──────────────────────────────────────── REQUIREMENTS ──────────────────────────────────────── - Google Chrome browser - An active UCP student account - Must be logged into horizon.ucp.edu.pk to scan ──────────────────────────────────────── HOW TO GET STARTED ──────────────────────────────────────── 1. Click Add to Chrome and confirm the installation 2. Pin the extension icon to your toolbar 3. Log into horizon.ucp.edu.pk 4.
