As of 2026-05-21 on Firefox, the need to login to Ground News every day is required for the extension to function. Annoyingly high friction.

The concept is great, but in practice this extension acts more like malware or spyware. I noticed this extension causing rendering issues on a ton of websites that are not even news/journalism related. The biggest concern was the Bitwarden web app. This extension is snooping on every website you visit, and sending that information to who knows where. Thankfully, I caught it, but only because it was causing issues with how pages are rendered. I am paying for your service, so why do you need access to all of my browsing data? I have removed the extension now. I completely lost all trust in it.
