FocusPulse Chrome extension security report

FocusPulse is a privacy-preserving Chrome extension that helps users understand their browsing habits and focus patterns. FocusPulse analyses browsing behaviour using metrics such as website usage time, tab switches, short visits, and the number of websites visited. Features • Focus score and focus grade • Website usage tracking • Tab switch tracking • Daily browsing statistics • Weekly summaries • 7-day browsing history • Analytics dashboard • JSON and CSV data export • Local-only data storage Privacy-first design FocusPulse stores browsing statistics locally on the user's device using Chrome's local storage. The extension does not require an account or backend server and does not upload browsing statistics to an external server. FocusPulse analyzes browsing behavior rather than categorizing websites as inherently productive or distracting. Important Focus scores are behavioral estimates based on metrics such as tab switches, short visits, and the number of websites visited. They are intended to help users understand their browsing patterns and are not a scientific measurement of productivity.
