Fluent New Tab Edge extension security report

A minimalist, customizable New Tab page inspired by Fluent Design. Fluent New Tab transforms your browser's default new tab into a clean, modern, and highly customizable dashboard inspired by Microsoft's Fluent Design System. Every element—from the search bar to the settings panel—is crafted to feel native to Windows 11, featuring smooth animations, Mica-style blur effects, and seamless dark/light mode integration. We believe your browser should respect your privacy and give you full control. That's why every single feature is optional. You decide exactly what shows up on your screen. No accounts are required, no hidden trackers are used, and all your data stays strictly local to your device. 🔍 Smart Search Choose your preferred search engine. Enjoy smart auto-completions as you type (which can be toggled off anytime) or use voice search for hands-free queries. Prefer a minimalist look? Switch to the compact search bar mode. 📌 Custom Shortcuts Keep your favorite websites one click away in a responsive, drag-and-drop grid. Organize them into folders (up to 39 shortcuts each), drag bookmarks directly from your browser's favorites bar, or instantly convert App Launcher apps into shortcut folders for ultimate productivity. 🚀 App Launcher Access your favorite productivity ecosystem directly from your new tab. Choose between some best ecosystems to open the web apps you rely on daily. ⛅ Local Weather Stay updated with a beautiful, animated weather widget powered by the Open-Meteo API. Fully customizable, allowing you to easily toggle between Celsius and Fahrenheit. 🎨 Dynamic Wallpapers Make the dashboard truly yours. Select from our curated built-in wallpapers, upload your own personal image, or wake up to a fresh background every day with automatic feeds from Bing, NASA, or Wikimedia Commons. You can even adjust the background opacity for perfect text readability. ⚙️ Accessibility & Performance Tailor the experience to your hardware and visual preferences. Motion and visual effects can be independently reduced or disabled entirely, ensuring a smooth experience even on lower-end devices or for users sensitive to animations. 🌍 Multiple Languages Fluent New Tab speaks your language. If your native language isn't supported yet, you can easily help us translate it through our community-driven Crowdin project. 🛡️ Privacy First, Always We don't track your usage, collect personal data, or ask for sign-ins. Your preferences and shortcuts are stored securely and locally within your browser's standard storage. Fluent New Tab is an independent, open-source project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or an official product of Microsoft Corporation. All design elements are inspired by Microsoft's publicly available Fluent 2 Design System.
