A browser extension that proctors online tests
FairTest is a browser extension that can be used to proctor online tests. Due to COVID-19, many academic tests have to be taken up online. The test administrators are finding it difficult to monitor whether the user is giving the test in a fair manner. FairTest monitors the open tabs in the test-taker's system and informs the admin about all the tabs that have been opened by the test-taker. In this way, the admin can ensure that the user is not looking for answers online. The user cannot disable the extension in the middle of the test because the extension is being continuously polled by the server. All the newly opened and closed tabs by the candidate while the test is ongoing will be notified to the test admin.
