This extension helps you extract academic search keywords from any web content and seamlessly search Google Scholar. You can either select specific text or analyze all currently visible text on the page. GPT-4o is used to generate concise and relevant academic keywords based on your input. Once generated, the keywords are automatically used to open a Google Scholar search tab. You can refine or adjust the keywords after landing on the search page. Who Is This For? • Students and researchers conducting literature reviews • Academics exploring new topics through Google Scholar • Professionals looking to extract core scholarly ideas from online content Key Features • Select any portion of text and generate relevant academic search keywords • Alternatively, analyze all currently visible text on the page • Keywords are generated using GPT-4o from OpenAI • Users can specify: • The minimum and maximum number of keywords • The minimum character length required to trigger GPT keyword generation (If selected text is shorter than the threshold, it is searched directly without GPT) Important Notes • This extension requires your own OpenAI API key in order to use GPT features. • You must have available credit in your OpenAI account. If your account has no balance, you will not get results. • Your API key is stored locally in your browser using Chrome’s extension storage and is never transmitted or shared with anyone. • When using “visible text” mode, very large or cluttered pages may reduce keyword quality or cause errors. • Google Scholar search results may be improved by manually refining the generated keywords. How to Get an OpenAI API Key: 1. Visit: https://platform.openai.com/account/api-keys 2. Log in and click “Create new secret key” 3. Copy the key and paste it into the extension’s settings panel 4.
