Danmaku Overlay for Youtube Edge extension security report

If you have ever watched a concert on Bilibili, you know how thrilling it is to see real-time comments fly across the screen. Those “danmaku” bullets do more than entertain: they convert passive viewers into an on-screen crowd that laughs, cheers, and reacts together. Danmaku Overlay for YouTube delivers the same experience to any YouTube Live video, One-click toggle – Tap the toolbar icon on any YouTube Live page to inject or remove the overlay. A badge flips to ON, so you always know when danmaku is active. Real-time bullet rendering – A tiny content script watches the chat column with a MutationObserver, forwards new lines to the main frame, and animates each message across the video at 60 fps using requestAnimationFrame. Practical benefits Stronger engagement – The moment bullets start moving, lurkers speak up. On-screen comments trigger jokes, memes, and instant feedback that makes streams feel communal. Screen-capture-ready chat – Streamers who post highlights or replays can keep chat visible without OBS browser sources or CSS cropping—Danmaku Overlay is already baked into the pixels you record. Lag-free performance – GPU-accelerated transforms keep animation smooth even on laptops or while a dozen tabs run in the background. Who will love this extension?
