About this extension
Record D365FO repro sessions: clicks, edits, errors, screenshots. Export as XML or DOCX, submit to tracker.
Read the publisher’s full description
D365FO Repro Recorder captures reproduction scenarios for Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations issues automatically. Start a recording with one click and the extension logs every click, field edit, navigation, and error banner on the active tab, including the field's human-readable label and the old and new values. Automatic screenshots fire on navigation and error banners, and you can take manual snapshots or paste images from the clipboard whenever you need. When you stop, a review page opens with an editable timeline. Reorder or delete steps, add per-step notes, paste extra screenshots, and redact sensitive areas of any image with the built-in rectangle editor — black bars are drawn onto the actual PNG so nothing leaks on export. Export the finished session as a self-contained XML bundle (.zip with repro.xml, metadata.json, and every screenshot), as a Microsoft Word document (.docx), or submit it directly to an issue tracker you configure in Settings. Four trackers are supported out of the box: - OTRS via the GenericTicketConnectorREST web service - Atlassian Jira (Cloud or Data Center, basic auth or Personal Access Token) - Azure DevOps (Services or Server, Personal Access Token) - GitHub Issues (GitHub.com or GitHub Enterprise, Personal Access Token) Keyboard shortcuts: Alt+Shift+R to start or stop recording, Alt+Shift+S for a manual snapshot, Alt+Shift+N to add a note, Alt+Shift+P to pause or resume. All remappable in the browser's extensions shortcuts page. Privacy-first by design. Captured data stays in your browser profile (chrome.storage.local plus IndexedDB) until you explicitly click Export or Submit. The extension has no backend, no telemetry, no analytics, and no third-party tracking. Host permissions for tracker endpoints are requested at submit time for the exact URL you configured, never at install time. A full privacy policy is linked from the listing. Accessible by default: full keyboard navigation, screen reader labels, focus traps inside dialogs, respect for prefers-reduced-motion, and a dark mode that tracks your system preference. Localized to English and German. Open source under the MIT License. Source code, documentation, automated test suite, and issue tracker: https://github.com/fdittgen-png/D365FOBrowserAddIns
