CVMatch — tailor your CV to each LinkedIn job (privacy-first, provider-agnostic) CVMatch helps you adapt your CV to the specific job you are viewing on LinkedIn. With one click, it reads the job description on the page, compares it to your CV, and returns an actionable, JSON-backed result: match percentage, a concise explanation, missing skills, concrete edit suggestions, and the option to download a refined CV as a .docx. You choose the AI provider (OpenAI, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Grok) and can use your own API key; by default nothing is routed through our servers. What it does: Detects when you are on a LinkedIn job posting and extracts the role, company, and full description. Compares the posting with your CV (paste text or link a read-only Google Doc). Produces focused improvements including match percentage, explanation, missing skills, proposed edits, and token usage. Generates a cleaner, tailored .docx you can save to Google Drive or share. How to use: Open a LinkedIn job posting, click the CVMatch toolbar icon to open the side panel, choose a provider and paste your API key, add your CV as text or a read-only Google Doc link, then click Check Match. Review the results and download the .docx if desired. Permissions: Access to LinkedIn job pages to read the details you are viewing. Storage to save local settings such as provider, API key, and CV link. Scripting to inject the minimal extractor when requested. Offscreen to generate .docx files reliably. Optional alarms and notifications for longer runs or completion notices. Privacy and data: Your API key and settings are stored locally in your browser. Your CV and job data are sent only to the AI provider you choose and only when you initiate a check. We do not collect analytics on your CVs, job pages, or keys. Use Clear All Data in Settings to remove stored keys, links, and caches. Requirements: A LinkedIn job posting page; English descriptions work best today. An API key for your selected provider is recommended. Troubleshooting: If the panel reports that you are not on a LinkedIn job page, refresh the tab and try again. If you use a Google Doc link, ensure sharing is set to Anyone with the link as Viewer. If a provider rejects requests, verify your API key, model name, and quota.
