Cursor Spending Monitor — Track your Cursor.com API usage and spending in real time, fully on your local device. No API key, no extra login, no data collection. WHY THIS EXTENSION Cursor's official dashboard only shows raw tables. This extension turns those tables into trends, charts, and alerts so you can answer: - How much have I spent this billing cycle? - Which models are eating my budget? - How many requests am I making per day? - How close am I to my plan's included quota? KEY FEATURES 1. One-click side panel Click the toolbar icon to open a clean side panel UI with all your Cursor usage stats, side-by-side with the Cursor website or your editor. 2. Spending overview cards - Total cost for the current billing cycle - Plan included quota usage (for example, 20 dollars out of 20 dollars) - On-demand or pay-as-you-go cost - Token totals (input, output, cache read, cache write) 3. Daily charts - Daily cost trend (line chart) - Daily request count (bar chart) - Per-model cost distribution (pie or bar chart) All charts are interactive and zoomable. 4. Detailed usage table Every single request is listed with timestamp, model, kind (chat, agent, completion), cost, and full token breakdown. Sortable, filterable, and exportable. 5. Two scrape modes - Fast scrape: pulls the basic table in about five seconds, runs automatically every hour - Full scrape with token breakdown: hovers each row to capture input, output, and cache tokens; manual trigger, around 30 seconds per page 6. Smart background sync - Configurable auto-refresh interval, default 60 minutes, via the browser built-in alarms API - Toolbar badge shows the current cycle on-demand cost at a glance - Inbox panel shows scrape progress and any login-required notices 7. Bilingual UI English and Simplified Chinese, switchable in Settings. 8. Light or dark theme Follows system preference, or can be locked manually. PRIVACY AND DATA HANDLING (100 PERCENT LOCAL) - The extension only reads the DOM of pages you have already loaded under the cursor.com domain. It does not call any Cursor API directly. - All scraped records are stored exclusively in local browser storage on your own device. - Nothing is uploaded. No analytics, no third-party servers, no telemetry. - No account, no API key, no credit card required. - This is an open-source project under the MIT license. PERMISSIONS WE USE (and why) - storage - save your usage records and settings on the local device - alarms - schedule periodic background refresh (the alarms API is the only reliable way to wake an MV3 service worker on a timer) - tabs - open, refresh, and message the cursor.com dashboard tab during a scrape, and detect when you navigate away - sidePanel - render the extension UI in the browser side panel - host permissions for the cursor.com domain - inject the content script that reads the dashboard DOM. The extension does not run on any other site.
