This is a plain new-tab wallpaper page: (365 bytes) only opens the author's site [domain withheld] on install and sets it as the uninstall URL; builds a clock, user-managed localStorage shortcuts, and a muted looping background, and routes search through chrome.search.query (:96), which goes to the user's own default engine with no hijack. There is no, no eval, no atob, no content script, no host permission, and contains zero url()/@ references; I also pulled the one file missing from the bundle (jquery-3.7.1.) out of the stored CRX for v14.4.3 and confirmed it is stock jQuery 3.7.1 at exactly 87,533 bytes with the unmodified footer and no appended payload, no chrome.* calls and no embedded URLs. The permhash cluster (33% malicious) and the publisher's leave-one-out malicious rate (24%) are the only signals pointing at malice and they are, not code-level; the risk-engine (0.10) and chrome-stats () agree with the code, which contains no exfiltration sink at all for the single `search` permission to feed.
