About this extension

Intercepts network requests and serves content from a local server, keeping the original URL intact.

Read the publisher’s full description

Content Override is a developer tool that intercepts network requests on any website and transparently replaces the response body with content fetched from a local server. Unlike a redirect, the original URL is preserved — no CORS issues, no mixed content warnings. Users configure URL mapping rules via a popup UI using simple glob patterns with wildcards or full regex with capture groups for advanced cases like stripping cache-busting hashes. Rules are saved across sessions and can be enabled or disabled individually. Ideal for testing production sites with local builds without deploying.
