Commit is a free Chrome extension that helps you avoid dead-end listings. When you open a job on LinkedIn or Indeed, Commit overlays a compact panel with a Ghost-Job Risk Score, company response rate, average time to first response, and clear red-flag indicators. You can also share your outcome (no response, rejected, interviewed, offer) to improve the data for everyone—anonymously. WHY COMMIT • Too many ghost jobs, reposts, and low-signal listings waste time. • Commit gives instant signal: risk score, response metrics, and the top three issues to consider. KEY FEATURES • Ghost-Job Risk Score (0–100): Heuristics consider salary transparency, specificity, contact channels, job-type conflicts, experience mismatches, stack quality, posting age, and more. • Company tab: See overall response rate and average time to first response across recent reviews for that employer. • Smart flags (max 3 shown): Examples include No pay info, Vague wording, External contact (Gmail/WhatsApp), Scope/experience mismatch, High applicants + thin post, Old posting. • Share your experience: Fast, adaptive form captures when you applied, what happened, relevant dates, and optional context (interview rounds/types, feedback, offer decision). • Profile memory (local): Highest education, years of experience, and role are remembered locally so you don’t re-enter them each time. • Clean, compact UI: Fits neatly beside job details without getting in your way. • Works where you are: Optimized for LinkedIn job pages (including URLs with “currentJobId”) and Indeed job pages.
