It accomplishes this by stripping distracting elements, fetching summary data for headlines, and storing any required data locally in IndexedDB. Installation Visit the extension’s page on the Chrome Web Store. Click “Add to Chrome” and confirm the installation. Navigate to CNN.com, and the extension will automatically activate. Usage Ad Removal: Ads and sponsored content are hidden, creating a distraction-free experience. Headline Summaries: Hover over a news headline to see its brief summary in a tooltip—no clicking required. Privacy Controls: Automatically removes cookies, local storage, and session storage from CNN.com to safeguard user privacy. Offline Caching: Summaries are stored in IndexedDB for quick reuse on subsequent visits. Content I do not have access to the articles I’m creating summaries for; I only have the headline. If the headline is ambiguous or lacks specificity, the summary might not accurately reflect the content of the article. In other words, I do the best I can.
