What our analysis found

Cisco Webex Content Sharing, used by 200,000 people, showed no malicious code in Extension Auditor's review. It comes from a trusted publisher and was last updated in June 2021.

The extension's sole function is to provide screen sharing capability for Cisco Webex web applications. It uses the desktopCapture permission as expected, listens for external messages from *. and *. domains, and returns a media stream ID to the requesting page. There is no data exfiltration, no obfuscation, and no suspicious behavior. The ML model likely flagged it due to the permhash cluster associated with screen recording, but this is a legitimate Cisco extension.
