ChromEd is a fast, minimalist and opensource editor for plain text and code. It brings a familiar Notepad++‑style workflow to Chrome with multi-tab editing and seamless Google Drive integration. PRIVACY Your files are transferred directly between the extension and Google Drive using secure HTTPS. Authentication tokens are managed by Chrome; no data is sold or shared. The extension only requests access to files you open or create with it. GETTING STARTED 1. Click the ChromEd icon. 2. Connect Google Drive when prompted. 3. Open a file from Drive or create a new one and start editing. TROUBLESHOOTING Can’t connect to Drive? Make sure you’re signed into Chrome with a Google account approved on the consent screen.
