Book Scout helps you find your next great read without leaving Goodreads. Tell it what you’re in the mood for (“cozy mystery with a strong female lead,” “optimistic sci-fi under 300 pages”), optionally include books you’ve loved (or upload a simple CSV of your reads), and Book Scout uses AI to find tailored recommendations with clear reasons why each pick fits. Why use it: It combines your history and your prompt to match tone, themes, pacing, and subgenres, not just popularity. It works where you already are: Runs alongside Goodreads pages so you can discover, compare, and add to shelves in one flow. You can see summaries, author info, average ratings, and quick links so you can decide fast. You stay in control: Choose what data you share (CSV optional). Preferences are saved locally for convenience. How it works: Provide a prompt and optionally add a few similar titles or upload your Goodreads CSV. Book Scout analyzes patterns in what you like and matches them to a broad catalog. It returns recommendations with short justifications and links to learn more.
