ArcSolve is a side panel extension for analyzing and clipping web content with AI assistance. WHAT YOU CAN DO Page Analysis - Open the side panel to see an overview of the current page, including detected images, videos, and audio resources. - The panel automatically stays in sync with your active tab while open. Content Clipping - Copy Page: Extract the full text content of the current page to your clipboard in one click. - Select: Click on any element on the page to extract and copy just that section. - Capture: Drag to select a rectangular area of the visible page and copy it as an image. PDF Support - Detect and analyze PDF documents embedded in web pages. - Open a built-in PDF viewer directly from the side panel. YouTube Support - Analyze YouTube pages and access transcript-based content for AI-assisted workflows. AI Chat - Chat with AI in the side panel while browsing. - Ask ArcSolve to reason over the current page, compare URLs you provide, or complete a research task across multiple pages. - To complete a requested task, AI may read the current page, URLs you provide, matching open tabs, and additional relevant web pages or YouTube transcripts. - When needed, ArcSolve may reuse an already-open tab or briefly open a background tab to read the actual content without interrupting your current tab. Notes - Write quick notes in the side panel using a rich text editor. - Save notes to your ArcSolve account with folder organization. Save to ArcSolve - Add web pages, PDFs, and notes to your ArcSolve account for later reference. - Choose a destination folder before saving. WHAT THIS EXTENSION DOES NOT DO - It does not continuously crawl every page in the background. Automatic active-tab analysis only runs while the side panel is open, and additional page reads happen only to fulfill a requested workflow. - It does not automatically save pages to your account. Saving requires an explicit action. - It does not automate browser actions such as clicking buttons, filling forms, or making purchases. - It does not inject ads or modify search results. PERMISSIONS AND DATA HANDLING ArcSolve requests the following permissions: - All sites access: Required because ArcSolve can analyze the current page and read user-provided or task-required URLs across arbitrary domains. Automatic active-tab analysis is limited to when the side panel is open. Additional page reads occur only to fulfill a requested workflow such as AI research, link analysis, PDF reading, or parsing initiated from ArcSolve web features while the user is using the app. - Active tab: To read and analyze the page you are currently viewing. - Scripting: To extract page content, enable element selection, and support capture features. - Clipboard write: To copy extracted text and captured images to your clipboard. - Storage: To save your theme and display preferences locally, plus a short-lived per-session page summary cache. - Web navigation: To keep the side panel in sync as pages load and navigate. ArcSolve does not use your content for advertising or AI model training. Data is transmitted to ArcSolve services only when a feature requires it, such as AI chat, document creation, or saving a document.
