About this extension

Monitors API requests during regression testing and alerts on HTTP failures.

Read the publisher’s full description

API Pulse is a lightweight browser extension that helps QA engineers, testers, and developers detect API failures during manual testing without constantly monitoring browser DevTools. The extension continuously observes user-configured network requests, detects HTTP 4xx and 5xx responses, and immediately alerts users when failures occur. This enables testers to identify backend issues in real time while remaining focused on application behavior and user experience. Key Features: • Real-time API failure detection • Support for Fetch and XMLHttpRequest (XHR) requests • Configurable monitoring filters • Ignored endpoint rules for suppressing known non-actionable failures • Instant in-page notifications and alerts • Failure dashboard with request details • Session analytics including success rate and request statistics • Failure export functionality • Local browser storage for settings and session data • No backend services or external dependencies Privacy First: All processing is performed locally within the browser. API Pulse does not transmit data to external servers, collect analytics, track users, or require account creation. Ideal for: • Manual regression testing • Functional testing • QA validation • Staging environment monitoring • Application troubleshooting Compatible with modern Chromium-based browsers including Microsoft Edge and Google Chrome.
