Amnezia ВПН — расширение для браузера Google Chrome, предназначенное для управления прокси-подключением. Пользователь открывает всплывающее окно, выбирает страну в списке серверов и нажимает кнопку «Включить». Фоновый сценарий worker.js получает сообщение о подключении, определяет адрес сервера через DNS по протоколу HTTPS и настраивает соединение SOCKS5 на порту 1082. Кнопка «Отключиться» возвращает стандартные сетевые настройки браузера. Локальные адреса localhost и 127.0.0.1 исключены из проксирования. Бесплатно доступна локация us-1; остальные из двадцати одного узла открывают окно Премиум со ссылками на Telegram и сайт — только по нажатию пользователя. Сценарии содержимого страниц не используются — содержимое сайтов не изменяется. Для определения адреса применяются cloudflare-dns.com и dns.google. На иконке отображается значок при активном подключении.
