About this extension
Mock missing APIs, replace responses, and redirect browser requests.
Read the publisher’s full description
Ajax Proxy is a local browser tool for web developers. Mock APIs that do not exist yet, replace responses from real endpoints, or redirect requests without changing application code. Features • Mock missing APIs: Match a URL and request method, then return configured JSON and a status code directly from the extension. Mock mode skips the network request, so the API does not need to exist on the server. • Replace real responses: Send the request to the real endpoint, then replace its response with configured JSON. • Redirect requests: Use a static destination, request headers and URL exclusions, or a Fetch-only function destination. • Manage rules: Search, filter, sort, pin, group with tags, and enable or disable rules in bulk. If multiple enabled rules match, the first rule in list order is used. • Diagnose requests: Review temporary records of matches, mocks, replacements, redirects, and fallbacks. • Edit JSON and functions: Use the structured JSON editor or restricted functions to generate Fetch responses and redirect destinations. • Back up and restore: Export V3 rules to JSON and restore them in another V3 installation. Request support Static mocks and static JSON response replacement support Fetch and supported asynchronous XHR. Function responses and function redirects support Fetch only; XHR keeps its original response or URL. Rules are processed locally in your browser. Ajax Proxy does not provide a hosted proxy or account service. Enable rules only on sites you trust. Remove request data, cookies, tokens, and private function code before sharing logs or backups. V3 uses a new rule and backup format. V2 data is not automatically migrated and must not be imported into V3. Export and keep a separate V2 backup before upgrading, then recreate needed rules in V3.
