The extension's code implements a legitimate screen mirroring service for Promethean's ActivCast platform, using WebRTC for streaming and WebSocket for signaling. Data sent to consists of technical identifiers (platform, version, UUID) required for session establishment, not personal information. The publisher is a well-known educational technology company with no history of malicious extensions.
